October 5, 2014: Dedication of Sky Portal to coincide with the 2014 Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta- the largest hot air ballooning event in the world.  Artist talk and dedication held at the Anderson Abruzzo International Balloon Museum, Albuquerque, NM.

August 20, 2014: Dedication of Connections Gallery, a permanent interactive outdoor work for Roosevelt High School in Minneapolis, MN

August 2014: Sky Portal completed at Anderson Abruzzo International Balloon Museum.

May 2014: Dancing Arches completed at Rodney Park in Lancaster, PA

August 2013:  Art Spot completed in Jackson, Wyoming. The temporary installation was completed with help from the community.

July 2013:  Filling the Void, to be dedicated on July 16, 2013.  This event will mark the completion of the first installation, completed by youth, staff, friends, and family.  Speakers will include Forecast Public Art, the McKnight Foundation, Youthlink, and the youth of Kulture Klub Collaborative!

July 2013:  Walker commissioned for permanent public sculpture installation at the newly revitalized Rodney Park for the City of Lancaster, PA.  Installation scheduled for completion in spring 2014.

March 2013:  Entanglement,  a temporary installation for Scottsdale Public Art is complete, and will be on view until May 2013!

January 2013:  Walker receives a Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Initiative Grant.  Walker will work with his South Minneapolis community to create a large-scale, collaborative installation.

January 2013:  Commissioned by the Port of San Diego for WRAP:an artistic investigation of the San Diego Tidelands.  This temporary, site-specific installation will be installed in Spring of 2014 at the two main cargo shipping terminals:  the 10th Avenue Terminal and the National City Terminal.  Walker will work to develop a concept over the next year.

January 2013:  Commissioned by Scottsdale Public Art for site-specific temporary installation as part of Belle Art Cycle III.  To be installed March-May 2013. Walker's proposal, Entanglement, will use an existing "bell tower" as a framework for a fibrous wrapping.

December 2012: Commissioned by the City of Albuquerque to create a permanent outdoor work for the Anderson Abruzzo International Balloon Museum.  Walker's proposal, Sky Portal, will be visible from the sky as well as the ground.  Design and installation will take place in 2013.

December 2012: Dream Elevator in St. Louis Park, MN, completed.  Dedication event to be announced.

December 2012: Selected as finalist for WRAP temporary art commission for the Port of San Diego.

September 2012:  Commissioned by the City of Atlanta to create a temporary installation on the Woodruff Park Fountain for the week-long Elevate Atlanta event, October 19-25..

June 2012:  Passage has been selected for the Public Art Network's 2012 Public Art Year in Review.  The temporary installation was recognized by jurors as one of fifty of the most compelling public projects in the country completed in 2011.  The project was selected from over 400 entries.

February 2012:  Randy Walker has received the first McKnight Foundation/ Forecast Public art Project Grant for mid-career public artists.  Walker's grant proposal, Filling the Void, will examine how a work of public art might bridge the gap between permanent and temporary.  He will work with the Kulture Klub Collaborative, a Minneapolis-based non-profit organization that brings artists and homeless youth together to create a permanent sculptural framework that will be woven in a series of temporary installations over a one year period to initiate a process that is intended to continue indefinitely.

January 2012:  Woven Prism selected for inclusion in Art on The Plains XI, a juried exhibition at the Plains Art Museum in Fargo, North Dakota

An artist reception will be held at the site on Sunday, November 20th from 1-3pm.  Everyone is welcome.

November 2011:  The City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, has given approval to begin work on The Dream Elevator, a permanent public sculpture proposed by Randy Walker.  The outdoor structure will mark Walker's largest commission to date, and is expected to be completed by Fall 2012.

July 2011:  Walker invited to show three works at the Cheongju International Craft Biennale. Cheongju, South Korea.

June 2011:  Woven Cube and Woven Cylinder  on display in WWW. Exhibit  at the Northfield Arts Guild. Northfield, Minnesota.
